Pilates is suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness.

It is a safe and reliable way of exercising, strengthening the back and core muscles, and mobilising joints. It is also a great aid to relaxation with deep breathing techniques.

Pilates is a gentle and effective way of exercising that connect body and mind.

It can help you to:

  • Build core strength
  • Improve posture
  • Greater flexibility and joint mobility
  • Re-shape & tone your body
  • Connect mind & body
  •  Relieve stress & tension

Pilates provides excellent rehabilitative benefits and is often recommended by doctors and physiotherapists for those with bad backs, people recovering from injuries or those suffering from the aches and pains that the stress of modern living and a sedentary lifestyle can inflict on us.

Before your first session you will be asked to complete a standard client enrollment form, which will give me some more information on your physical health and fitness, and what you would like to achieve over the next few months. I will ask you to provide me with details on any injuries or medical conditions on the enrollment form, which will help to ensure that you will be exercising safely and  you are getting exactly what you need out of the lessons.

Classes are 60 minutes long and the maximum number of participants in any class is twelve.

Wear anything you are comfortable in allowing a free range of movement, but closer fitting clothes (obviously not too tight) will help me to see if the exercises are being correctly done. You can be barefoot or wear socks.

During the classes often various probs (weights, bands, ball, circle) will be used to help with some of the exercises or to make them a little more challenging.
